Why Go
Pope Francis holds general public audience every Wednesday starting at 09:30 am. The meeting with the Pope lasts about two hours.

Holders of audience tickets have guaranteed sitting within the sectors at St Peter's Square overlooking the papal altar or inside Auditorium Nervi , when some audiences are held in winter. Seats are not numbered and get occupied on first come basis. There is usually a line to security check, so arrival between 0730 am and 0800 am is advisable.
