Why Go
Pompeii transports you back in time to antiquity. The affluent Roman town burried during the devastating aruption of Mt. Vesuvius in A.D. 79 gives a complete picture of what daily life must have been like 2000 years ago. Bath, theatres, taverns, shops and houses show striking sophistication of its inhabitans.

The undervisited Villa Poppei in Oplontis, a short drive from Pompeii, was once a beautiful sea from residence of a wealthy family. The area to visit is small but it worth stopping by to see magnificantly preserved frescoes, some of the best from Ancient times.
